Terms & Conditions

The General Terms and Conditions apply to any retreat guest or host attending or not-attending our retreats. By participating in a retreat the guest, teacher or team member of the host agrees to the applicability of these General Terms and Conditions. Creating Space Yoga Retreats may amend these General Terms and Conditions. The most recent version is always available on the Website and an announcement will be made via email if there are any amendments to the Terms and Conditions.

1. Retreat Participant Payment Policy

1.1 Retreat price

The price for a retreat can be found on the Creating Space Yoga Retreats website in four available currencies. The participant is advised to select the currency of the bank account they will be paying from to ensure the price charged is equivalent to the amount advertised.

1.2 Payments

For you to be able to reserve a retreat with us, you are required to make one of the following non-refundable payment options as indicated below:

1.3 Retreat Participant Deposit

A 500AUD (250GBP, 280EURO, 400USD & 500NZD) deposit will secure your seat and the balance must be paid 120 days before the retreat starting date at the latest.

1.4 Early Bird Full payment

Pay in full 120 days before the retreat starting date at the latest to secure the early bird rate shown on our website.

1.5 Standard payment

Pay in full 45 days before the retreat starting date to attend the retreat at the latest.

1.6 Bookings close

All retreat booking close 35 days before the retreat starting date.

1.7 Payments options

Payments can be made online using Master and Visa card or a bank transfer to one of our five currency accounts.

1.8 Payment plans

If the participant prefers to pay in instalments, he or she must email our accounts team at info@createspace.yoga and both parties must agree on a payment plan with the Prices, Dates, and the way of payment.

2. Hosting a retreat policy

2.1 Retreating Host

For you to be able to host a retreat with us, you are required to hold a minimum of 200 hrs (Registered Yoga Teacher) certification by the Yoga Alliance. You must gather a group of 10 - 24 students and work collectively with our team to run a successful Yoga Retreat.

2.2 Host Deposit

For a Yoga Teacher wanting to host a retreat, a 1000AUD (700GBP, 700EURO, 1000USD & 1000NZD) non-refundable deposit will secure your dates and start the pre-retreat organisation. The full deposit amount will be reimbursed on the last day of your retreat with your host profit. If you cancel or do not reach the minimum amount of students required the deposit will not be reimbursed. If we cancel the retreat for any reason we will reimburse the full amount 7 days after the cancellation.

2.3 Students payments

As a host, you are required to select one of the two payments options listed below:

  1. Collect all student payments with your business or personal payment gateway and transfer the full amounts to one of our five currency accounts.
    Early bird student payments - 120 days before your retreat starting date Standard payments - 45 days before the first day of the retreat
  2. We collect your student payments online with our payer portal and share all bookings with you. Payments can be made online using Master and Visa card or a bank transfer to one of our five currency accounts. *Please note - all payments made to our account are non-refundable.

2.4 Host profit

On the last day of your retreat, we transfer the total profit, plus the initial booking deposit to your business or personal bank account. A confirmation of the total amount received must be confirmed via email no later than 14 days after your retreat. 100% of profit goes to you if the student books from your marketing and advertising and 50% of the profit will be paid per person if we bring the student to your retreat.

2.5 Retreat minimum bookings

For the retreat to proceed, you are required to have a minimum of 8 students booked 120 days before the retreat starting date and 10 students 45 before the start date. To host a retreat with 8 - 9 students, (below the minimum required) we ask you to pay 50% of your retreat price. The minimum amount of students required to make a profit is ten, for any bookings ranging from 8 - 9 students no profit will be made.

2.6 Retreat maximum bookings

Our retreat capacity is 24 students. If you reach this capacity we will gift you two complimentary retreats, one for you as a host and one for a family member, friend or partner. The total amount of guests - 25 plus you as a host.

2.7 Complimentary Retreat

For bookings of 10 students and over you the host will receive a complimentary retreat. For bookings of 24, we will include your retreat plus one family member or friend free of charge.

3. Cancellation policy

3.1 Cancellation policy for a Participating Guest

Cancellation of a retreat that has been paid for leads to the loss of the deposited amount, any full payment made, the administrative fees and bank fees. The cancellation of the retreat is non-refundable for any participating guest, we offer you the option of rebooking a future retreat with us using the value of the cancelled retreat. However, you must note that any issued credit note expires within 365 days after its purchase date.

3.2 Cancellation policy for a Retreat Host

Cancellation of a scheduled retreat leads to the loss of the full deposited amount. Any payments made from your students will be reimbursed minus any currency fluctuations and bank fees.

4. Travel insurance, travel documents and immunizations


All participating guests and hosts must purchase travel insurance on the same day as the retreat payment. Our goal is to ensure that our customers do not inquire losses in case of the cancellation of a retreat.

4.2 Travel Documents and Immunizations

We advise each participating guest and host to obtain all required travel documents including Visas, Passport and any other documents noted. All necessary documentation is provided per trip in the information sent via email or you can contact us for more detailed information regarding your trip requirements. It is your responsibility to visit the travel doctor 5 months before travelling to ensure you have the correct immunizations. Please contact your nearest travel clinic for the latest requirements.

5. Release and Waiver of Liability and privacy policy

5.1 By making any payment to our business account you Accept and Agree to our Waiver of Liability. You fully understand that and have read and agree to the booking terms and conditions.

You acknowledge that it is a condition of participating in this activity that you do so at your own risk. Accept all risks and hereby indemnify and release Creating Space Yoga Retreats, the trip leader, their agent(s) affiliations, sponsors, promoters and any person or body directly and indirectly associated with the Creating Space Yoga Retreats, against all liability (including liability for their negligence and the negligence of others directly or indirectly associated with Creating Space Yoga Retreats) claims, demands and proceedings arising out of or connected with my participation in this activity.

You accept that Creating Space Yoga Retreats, the trip leader and/or other staff are not liable for lost or stolen property. Acknowledge that participating in this Retreat may involve a risk of serious injury or even death from various causes including but not limited to overexertion, dehydration, accidents, food, animals, people and our surroundings. You attest that you are physically fit to participate safely in this Retreat and that a qualified medical practitioner has not advised me otherwise. You are not aware of any medical condition, injury or impairment that will be detrimental to my health if you participate in this Retreat. In the event that you become aware of any medical condition, injury or impairment that may be detrimental to my health if you participate in this Retreat, the trip leader and/or staff will be immediately informed. By continuing to participate in this Retreat, you accept the risks despite these conditions and still, and will always be under the terms of this agreement.

5.2 You acknowledge that photographs and/or videos will be taken during the Retreat and accept that any photographs and/or videos that were taken during the Retreat may be used on social media or for marketing of Creating Space Yoga Retreats.
